after a long and traumatic delivery, Indy Danger Church was born yesterday by C-section at 5:12 pm. we spent 15 hours trying to convince him to come out the regular way, but he was too big, and his cord was wrapped around him twice preventing him from coming down. He is 8 pounds 11 ounces of huge baby boy monster, and is healthy and happy and absolutely spectacular. Mommy is recovering but she is doing great. she was totally amazing yesterday and i love her even more now than i ever have.

I have heard c-section babies turn out very beautiful ..
what does the name Indy mean?
My firstborn was 8lb 10oz and a friend told me "why, he could have walked home from the hospital!" The larger babies look so strong and hale right away that we get to skip the "oh my god, he's so fragile!" reaction and go straight to planning out sports seasons.
Your photos are wonderul, of course, but your words are the most beautiful I have ever heard from a new father. Looking forward to watching Indy grow. :-)
My first child tried for 36 hours to come out the regular way but the doctors finally helped her out thru a C-section... She weighd in at 9 lbs 1 ounce. I am very short and started the pregnancy at 95 lbs... so you can imagine why she could not be born without help! Had 2 more kids the same way...They're wonderful kids!
