As I was on my way home from work, I decided to take a different route than I usually do. A big thunder shower had just swept through the city, so there was water everywhere. Did you ever notice that all smells are magnified after rain; the air smells fresh, the scent of the flower are incredible, even the road smells different.
As I went on my bike uphill I noticed the wild flowers in the field next to the sidewalk, bright orange-red poppies and some wild lupine like flower in bright blue. It was love at first sight. I parked the bike; I took time out to smells the flowers, enjoying how they looked with the raindrops still hanging from the pedals. I was just baffled of nature's small wonders.
I could see all the car hurrying by, all wondering what I was doing. I thought to ask them; "When did you take time to stop even for just a minute or two to smell the flowers?"
I sat back on my bike, going home, now with a smile on my lip, felling light-hearted.
So I say love lies in taking time out to stop and enjoy the moment, enjoy those spectacular colours, enjoy the perfume of the flowers; enjoy life to the max.
I took some picture with my cell phone, so they are not doing the flowers justice. But they will give an impression of the scenery.

Carol, thank you!
Perhaps a few of those passersby were actually wishing that they were on bikes, able to do what you were doing. Nice role modeling for the world around you!
Gerry, you could be right! Biking is liberating and time saving.!
Thank you both of you for taking the time to read!
