It took me a moment to catch on. Ok, you're looking for strike 3? None of the bands you've named in the last couple of stabs at it approach the essentially undeniable rock awesomeness of Led Zeppelin or U2.

Led Zeppelin has been scientifically proven to be the best band ever. Iif you were a scientist instead of a stupid model you would know that.

I used to rule at science, but then I went to a feminist college and threw that education out the window so I could become a model after college.

a) not the best band ever, that would be The Stones
b) Yes they do

What about Radiohead?

And he did love her to his dying day. You could always see it in his eyes. A sort of sadness as he introduced new legislation or proposed an amendment of some sort.

Name one Zeppelin song worse than "Start Me Up" and one Stones song better than "Kashmir" (Note: Kashmir was selected randomly from any number of Zeppelin songs which the Stones could not hope to top).

I like Radiohead, but they are by no means some thing I would listen to of my own accord. I prefer loud angry music or stupid blatantly happy stuff and the closest I come to Radiohead is the Pixies, but even they have a touch of anger.
Kirk, that's very artistic imagery for the average c-span viewer.

John, start me up is freaking awesome and even my favorite Zeppelin song "Der Maker" is worse than that and it's not even one of the Stone's best pieces.
And sorry, but I worked at a guitar store, so I really don't like Stairway to Heaven.

Quit calling me John.

I wouldn't have mentioned Stairway to Heave for exactly that reason. D'yer Maker is not a bad choice.

Start Me Up is the worst song ever in the history of the world.

I Got You Babe is 10 times more interesting that Start Me Up.

It's kinda sad, I think they still loved each other but couldn't stand to be around each other. Neither one performed the "I got you Babe" song with anyone else.

Now Stones or Zeplin, Hmm. Beatles, The Who, The Monkeys just to name a few, are bands I like better than those two. Don't get me wrong, they both put out some good music, but the Stones were upstaged by Guns & Roses, and Zeplin wasn't around long enough to hit bottom. Remember What goes up must come down. Look at Hendrix.

I'll accept the Who as worthy of mention in the same sentence as Led Zeppelin.

I'll also accept the Monkeys and the Stones in the same sentence.

I'm having difficulty with the concept that Zeppelin wasn't around long enough but Guns -n- Roses was. There is some sort of conflict in the logic there.

I'm not saying G&R is in the same league, I was saying that they upstaged the Stones during one of the last concerts when Axle started mouthing off about a member of his band. Not that they are in the same musical league. I'm just saying....

I saw those Monkee interviews when they were heading to stage with their instruments in hand. Please remeber that they were entertainers, hand picked for the new Television era. If I'm spending big bucks cutting an album, I want the best in the business playing the instruments.

Ok, I'll admit that if we were playing "one of these things is not like the other" the Monkeys would be the first to go.

Right before Sonny & Cher. Although Cher can actually sing. She was a scamp, a tramp and a bit of a vamp, she was a V-A-M-P Vamp! (How's that for pulling one out of my ass -- way before your time.)

Never really got the Trent Reznor thing. I'm sure Jayne digs him - and Marylin Manson.

I'm a huge, HUGE G-N-R fan so no worries there (Jayne will soon chime in about how they suck). I bet they did blow the Stones away on that tour. I'm pretty sure I remember hearing they did. Still, I don't think you can put them in the same league as the Stones even though the Stones wrote Start Me Up, which is the worst rock and roll song in the history of the world, the universe maybe.

I'm not really a Van Halen fan, mainly because Eddie got Valerie. But I will admit they had some kicken songs. Now while I do like Sammy Hagar, I think Diamond David Lee Roth was a better front man. BTW Marilyn Manson did an awesome 'Tainted Love' video. I only liked Appitie for Destruction from G&R. I can't comment on live show's because I've only been to see blues & jazz bands.

Johnny - GnR - ugh. Get the Led out any day. However, I'm stayin' out of this one (having been a nuisance behind the scenes to James Moore)

In my defense, I really hate GnR for only two reasons. A stripper girl I worked with, and hated, danced to them ad infinitum and the association become inescapable. And Axel Rose has a voice that shreds my eardrums.

A friend once told me he would rather have Nine Inch Nails driven into his skull than listen to them again. I LIKE NIN. But that's kind of how I feel about Axel...

I say it because although there are a lot of articles and threads debating such things as modeling at least underneath such threads one can pick up more important issues. With the modeling debate came the idea of what does it mean to be a young woman today? A modern woman? What type of power do women have and should beauty be something they profit off of or not? Overall, no matter where you fall on the modeling debate there was is a substancial reason why you feel that way.

When I was new to the site there was a whole rash of discussion over 'lists.' Some people felt that the lists helped introduced them to new writers others felt it was just high schoolish but overall there was no meat to the debate.

I am looking for long or short term relations but looking for unconditional real love. Its a feeling which happens Cannot be done. Its a communication between two beings.

Oza's allowed to have that icon because he's a doctor.

I can't imagine the Dr. in front of Oza's name impressing Jake enough to make him give in that easily. Where is Jake anyway? Why isn't he here defending his icon? Do I have to do everything for that guy?

I am so depressed, I think I'm the only hot chick on gatha that didn't get hit on by Dr. Oza. I may have to write an article about it.
