As you can tell I haven't done of these before, but I'm gamely giving it a go. Maybe I should have called it "How does this work?" edition, because I can only imagine you guys will totally dominate all the image tools etc here...

OK...I think I have this figured out...

Today will be rather sparse as MOST of Post Tart Nation is out antiquing with Juni today...I hope we can all get our names back on here...I'm not digging this whole "real names" thing...but I guess that's the consequence of "Progress"...
I had to make sure to protect my secret identity.... it took a couple of times to figure it out.

Frickemon, you figured out how to change the display of your name? It is alarmingly easy once you get the hang. You can also delete comments (mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn that was doublestarred on the old request pile) and repost 'em.

Not liking this so far. Yes, it only took about 10 minutes to figure out how to hide my identity and post to a link. But this site design is way too busy. The previous board wasn't perfect, but it was a clean design. We'll see how this pans out, but I'm currently not so interested in learning another space. Ugh.

I didn't post anything yet. I just figured out how to when the time comes.. It would be easily found. Although the overall site is busy and lots of options, it's pretty intuitive.

Say, Julia, what's the "Icon" going to be for the LIstener's Loiunge™? Are you going to put up an 89.3 logo, or will you be finding perhaps a nice 1970's style living room photo? Since we didn't start/own it, I'm guessing that we can't change/add to MPR Forums that are moderated by MPR Moderator, or whatever it's called.
Poncie, you're watching Mr. Show? I have all 4 seasons on DVD. Great great stuff.

btw: We saw Louie C.K. on Saturday night at Acme. He was fantastic. Not everyone's cup of tea, he does throw the "effers" in there quite a bit, but his routines are pretty hilarious.

Tilde Frick Tilde, not only do I not own the group I didn't make the standards on the image! I'll ask after it, though.

*coughing* You'll all note I did not suggest that someone uploads more photos. That said, one of my favorite things about Gather is the ability to add, share, rate, and comment on images. We just couldn't do that with the old system. No way, no how. So enjoy it already!
I just posted a couple more photos of me and the Mrs... It's kinda groovy.
