And then after catching up on some summer shows...I come here to find great feedback from you all.
:) You have made my night
Here goes:
Nathan: I used to pack a big box when I left a job. This is the first job ever I've been laid off from and get to stay on as a contractor until they raise more funds. So the small box is sorta weird to me and I can't stop looking at it (it's next to the dining room table)
-----------------------
Thanks Nancy: Haikus are my special talent. :)
-----------------------
Clare: It is exciting. But it's also VERY stressful as I only have a few days to earn another $1000 I need for my mortgage. Getting laid off mid-month blows
------------------------
Aileen: The town in Maine where we have our vacation home has a trailer as their town hall. Trailers can house a whole lot of good stuff...and some towns can't even afford town buildings! Anyway, it sounds like you are on the go a lot? Or that you are moving...I think you meant trailer like the kind I use to haul my grass clippings...not the kind you live in.
------------------------
Jonathon: I did. Today at the beach. Oh, it was amazing! Even though I was surrounded by 100s of oil-slicked beachgoers, when the waves crashed over my head it was just me.
------------------------
Leah: Small is good. My first apartment was very small and life was easier I tell you that.
-----------------------
Jayne: Thanks!
----------------------
Dolphi: Luckily it was not my life, but just my day job. So I came home, sorted it all out, organized my files and got ready to take on new clients.
-----------------------
Linda: I did. But I left a lot there (binders, etc.) I did not close that door forever because they became an extended family. I want to keep doing consulting for them in the future. I was glad I bought my own laptop so I took what was important.
--------------------------------
Cena: Thank you. I did not count, but short is beautiful.
-------------------------------
Mariana: You rock my world.
-----------------------------
Jessie: Aww, thanks!
----------------------------
Mark: I agree. Thanks.
--------------------------
Cat: Retirement...um, I'm 29 so no. I don't intend to ever retire as I'm a contract photographer and I expect to do it until the day I die. As for a career change in my day job...nope, I'm staying in High Tech for it's the path I've stumbled on for the past 10 years. Now it's time for me to buckle down and finish my MBA. It seems I shall have more fun in my day job no matter what. In just two weeks I've landed two new clients...so I'm psyched. :)
May you find the greenest of pastures :)
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Sometimes it's best to move on when that was not the plan you had in mind, say a month ago. Things happen for a reason. :)
