What I've Learned So Far... Today
Your Daily (More Or Less) Dose of Satire

President Bush showed up in Iraq this morning, for what an administration spokesman called a "surprise visit." The president, waking from a long nap as Air Force One taxied to a terminal at Baghdad International Airport is said to have remarked, "I'm where?"
Bush, scheduled to speak at a fundraising luncheon in Carlsbad, California, apparently gave the pilots the wrong destination when he boarded the presidential plane. "Carlsbad, Baghdad - it's a natural mistake," said White House press secretary Tony Snow. "As you probably know, geography is not the president's strongest suit."
Bush decided that since he was "in the neighborhood," he would set up a photo-op with new Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki in Baghdad's heavily-fortified Green Zone. "Might as well make a little hay while there's still water under the dam," said Bush. "I gotta tell you though, the first convenience store clerk explodes anywhere near us, we're out of here."

You're right Cat, it does seem that this POTUS might have cut a class or two.
Thanks Stephen, that's my favorite line too.
Heather, once again you've cut to the heart of it. This gang seems to think history and geography both are just matters of opinion.
Thanks for the good words folks.

Donna, one of the Fox News commentators pointed out that al-Maliki touched his heart after shaking hands with Bush, interpreting that as a sign of him being overcome with emotion. I think he might have been just counting his fingers.
Don't be so unkind, Carol. We all need to respect the Decider. After all, he is our duly-elected president. Oh, wait...

He used to do this song after a 20 minute monologue about his FBI file. I guess I'd better get busy writing my own song,
