a note to whom it may concern

You realize as you sit

under your private olive tree

next to your private fig tree

that you are doing just fine

just great by yourself.

You have had enough years

of people picking your fruit

birds pecking at your branches,

now you want some peace

to be left on your own.

Let others stand in the sun

and burn..

You realize now

you are doing just fine

in the shade of the olive tree

and the fig tree near by

imaginary or real

you are doing just fine

without someone messing

with your branches

shaking your leaves

ratteling your birds.

You come to realize

you want to stay

just where you are now

undisturbed.

The trees come from the biblical prophecy of peace: sitting under a fig tree in the shade of grape vines..
so glad you guys liked it, love the new icon Candida, a summer rose, very appropriate!

thanks leah-i just passed the restuarant next to my house and they were preparing a reception for the Danish consulate, what a coincidence i should run into you here..watching the Danish flags as i walked i thought you would love it!
and Dolphin, it always brings me peace to see that dolphin in the pool!
