Alas! Life is not a car

Sometimes I think

If life would have been like a car

Could have enjoyed the speed

And driven life smoothly!

Me driving alone, or, with dear ones

In smooth run with changed gears

Avoided obstacles and enjoyed only beauty

While moving with stops, as I wish.

Restarted and left for new destination

New path, new route

Repetition as I desire with back gear

And re enjoyed the past route and

Beauty with splendor!

Alas! The life's car is similar but

No back gear!

To be honest ... the old man in me wants to go back to childhood days...

But the fact of life is ... change and uncertainity is CERTAIN.

So ... why not to wish an think about joyous past?

Opinions are sure to vary on the basis of our perceptions and attitude towards life.
It is true .. why to think of the past when bright future is ahead? In my perception ... people start remembering past if it was beautiful and also think optimistically about uncertain future. For people with not so good past ... surely hope for thee future is of utmost importance.

I still think ... past or future... childhood is best. I know, I may be wrong but thats what I think on the basis of its purity, fun and joy as my past was really beautiful. I pray for the same for my future too.

Manoi....I liked this work of yours!....I know what you mean about "no reverse"....how many times I have wished to go back in time....to be able to live my youth again.....but, what I miss most... are.my kids at a young age...oh how different I would be with them...spoiling them a little more as I now do with my grandkids... I really enjoyed reading it!
