Quick Tip - Now Access Group Categories on Gather Even Faster!

Here's a tip to help you access the categorized M aster Index to Gather Groups more quickly and efficiently.....

In any 'Search Articles' box on Gather (appears at the top of almost all pages, and is outlined in bright blue), simply enter any one of these search terms:

fileId:3096224743860698;size:full;

Like this:

fileId:3096224743860522;size:full;

Either one of these terms will bring up the "Master Index to Gather Groups" article, from which you can then peruse alphabetized listings of Gather Groups, by category or genre.

This will allow you to quickly and easily access the listing, and associated groups, from any page on Gather!!

Thanks, Kevin. One thing that boggles the mind is how many DUPLICATE groups there are in Gather. Like Buddhist/Meditation/Spiritual sorts. All these people are like-minded and yet they're balkanized in a million different Groups. You'd think they'd just merge and enjoy the advantages of one Big Group.

Wouldn't it be great if, when forming a Group, the software picked up keywords and gave a notice to you that a Group dedicated to these interests already exists? Then it could ask you if you wanted to continue with your creation of a new Group, or just join the existing one you didn't know about...

Just thinking, is all.
