The Miami Heat are facing off with the Dallas Mavericks for the NBA championship.

The Detroit Tigers are battling the Chicago White Sox for the lead of the major leagues.

The Edmonton Oilers (ok, they used to be good, but still...) are trying to catch up with the Carolina Hurricanes in the Stanley Cup finals.

And Hell is hosting its first ever all-region snowball fight.

Too funny Mike! But I'm still mourning the Suns loss to the Mavs, it should be US against Miami!!!! But then your article might lose some of it's punch because the Suns have been in the playoffs a few times.

Wait! Maybe not. You could have a whole new angle with Suns vs. Heat, which sounds a bit oxymoronic to me.

Actually, it should be the Suns struggling to stay alive against the Pistons...

I guess that's why they make 'em actually play the games.

bwah hah hah. it is crazy, how the finals have turned out. don't get my husband started on all the mistakes the pistons made, not adding anyone to their team, etc....avery johnson deserves a championship though - for how hard he's worked with and for the team!

The Canes' trip to the finals in 2002 was great -- and such a bargain! I sat lower level all four rounds for under $1000 (and remember, this on a grad student budget, too). As a Philly girl to begin with, though, all I can say is that it's great that the Wings are golfing now :-)

except the seats to the snow ball fight have been sold out long in advance and are going for three times their face value on eBay... also i hear that the beer is warm... now that's a real downer.
