Yes my dear there will be awkward moments
When we come face to face after decades,
Sweeping the shards of failures, half-cooked dreams
And aborted desires, under the carpet of joyfulness.
We shall sit across the table, exchanging soulful gazes
Words will struggle to burst through throbbing brains
Feelings like electric streaks, will snap around crazily
We'll snuggle into blankets of silence, we'll linger on
Letting pregnant pauses take over the sparse exchange.
We'll freeze into huge question marks, ourselves.
Life was always an imperturbable ocean, wasn't it?
You rode the crest and sailed away to new worlds
I remained marooned on my desert island,
Restlessly building palaces out of sheer sand
The waves came and left only a smoothness,
Another blank page for me to write upon.
Now you have your fiery storms on Jupiter
Whilst I have my icy winds to contend with
On forever-neglected Pluto, how we connect
Is a pure miracle we have wondered at for long…
But reality has it own bag of tricks, my dear,
Turning insides out effortlessly –we can only watch.

Ladies are just more conscious busy they are with the real.
Will look, appreciate, support when they don't starve for it.
Thank you for this parallel, multiplex writing.
Sudden workout for the brain.
Work of art from the hearth
Now you have your fiery storms on Jupiter
Whilst I have my icy winds to contend with
On forever-neglected Pluto, how we connect
Is a pure miracle we have wondered at for long…
where did you learn to write so celestially and how come you didn't post the world premier of this at Ryze's Shakespeare & Company or Creative Writers Network? you are holding out on us Mr. Plasma and I am going to tattle!
Great job nonetheless. Would you care to come join the ladies over at my new gather forum The Search for a Perfect Gentlemen? You seem to fit the bill quite nicely. Maybe give the youngin's like myself some experienced pointers on how to smooth the ladies... sending you an invite now! :D

Who or what gave u that impression, Max. Can a writer of ur calibre or commitment ever be redundant,:(, I doubt?
BTW, a great realistic but immensely sad poem!
Cheryl, am deeply moved by your poetic interpretation, how close you are to my own feelings...
