As I was on my way to work on my bike this morning,
I got to thinking about the take on Pure Evil that I wrote yesterday….
Perhaps it was seen from a very female point of view.
So here is the counterpart.
I've settled in my favourite chair
Feeds up, pants loosen, ready for the big game,
The all important game, the make and break
Everything within reach, you know the six-pack beer, the popcorn,
The nachos with lots of full fat cheese and jalapenos, just the way I like it.
It's a great game; my favourite team is just about to scoo...
And then my world is disturbed,
In comes someone grabs the remote control and changes the channel to Dr. Phil.
Now THAT is just Pure Evil.

Anyway, Mona, why aren't you eating Danish with the big games? I mean, we don't expect the Danes to eat American garbage with their TV! That's our department (regrettably)...
Yes it is kinda mean...
Wicked in fact
And about eating "American Garbage" the spill over of American culture is great due to the influence of American television as more than 50 % of the series, talk show, movies shown in Danish television are American.
And Danes also tend to travel a lot to other parts of the world and this also influences our culture, our daily habits and way of feasting in front of the telly.
But personally I love black salmiak (sal ammoniac) (extremely salty) liquorice and cake, like wienerbrød, but unfortunately I can't eat it, at least not as often as I would like.
By the way is Nachos American…???
Thanks for the bread lesson and the interesting Danish take on Danish.. I took notes. ;-)
Next question for discussion: What's rotten in Denmark?
I had to think long and hard, but to answer your question - that would be small mindedness and lack of respect for other people.
I hate that Muhammad crisis has created an opinion about my feelings toward other people and religions. As per definition I now hate Muslim, just because I'm Danish. And I really don't. I just don't have that in me. It would be hypocritical of me to want to travel the world and learn about new things and tradition and cultures, if I felt that way.
And According to 60 minutes I live in a country filled with naive people. I don't know. I just happen to enjoy forming my own opinion about people of any kind of religion, colour or culture.
but now I know... :O)))
Marcellus (an officer) says "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark," having just seen the ghost of Hamlet's father, the late king of Denmark.
