NEW HORIZONS

I venture forth with trepidation into the unknown.

Where will it lead me? Only God knows.

I'm too old for this adventure. Help me, Lord.

But I can't stay where I am. It is too sad.

Lead me to new paths. Teach me to live again.

Yes, I am fearful. Can I make it on my own?

I yearn to breathe the fresh air of freedom.

I long for the spirit I have lost.

I take this giant step forward, hoping for the best.

Give me the strength to see it through.

I feel your gentle arms around me.

Where you lead, I will follow.

All things are possible in the Lord.

George, I sometimes felt like I was. But, in truth, I was emerging from an unhappy marriage at the time this was written about 5 years ago.
