Juno - a Roman goddess was about the same as the Greek Hera. Both are goddesses associated with marriage and both had a bad reputation by the time they had become into Greek/Roman culture. Prior to that, however, the goddess was probably a mythological artifact from times when the miracle of birth caused men to worship 'mother goddesses'.

I love June. Father's day, the start of Summer vacation for the kids, all kind of different festivals here in New Orleans, the Grand Opening of the city's Museum of Insects, "The Insectarium", and last but certainly not least, my 53rd birthday.
