ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Produces code for web pages, interfaces, front/home pages, Web navigation schema, related deliverables for the www.nature.org Web site and related products for the Marketing department, including field staff. Ability to guide Marketing partners towards best practices and established standards in visual layout and/or visitor usability of Web content. Recommends features, functions and solutions to transform static information into an engaging Web experience for visitors. Has experience in content management systems (CMS), optimizing images for the Web, and the ability to develop content for cross-platform and cross-browser success using established W3C web standards-compliant code and techniques. Leverage constructive and effective relationships inside and outside the Conservancy. Work in partnership with others in a collaborative or advisory role.
Masters aspects of Convio (third-party vendor) publishing and reporting tools to produce and compile usage metrics for a monthly e-newsletter, Great Places. Stays abreast of technology and user interface developments; suggests and adopts relevant best practices whenever applicable. Supports Senior Manager, Digital Marketing to plan and execute annual goals. Tracks key performance indicators and other metrics to measure success of web content. Supervised by the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Requires a bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of experience in a Web production environment.
- Experienced in Web page design. Documented success in Web page production.
- Proficient in HTML/XHTML, CSS I & II, JavaScript, and Adobe Photoshop. Macromedia Flash is a plus. Experience with Convio (or similar system: Kintera, GetActive, etc.) is a plus.

- Demonstrated technical skills for web layout and information design following organizational standards.
- Knowledgeable about web technologies, standard concepts, best practices and procedures.
- Experienced in researching, analyzing and reporting web metrics.
- Excellent analytic and communications skills.
- Project management experience.

- Ability to create technical solutions that meet content development requirements.
- Ability to implement multiple projects simultaneously within deadlines.
- Act as a resource to technical peers and content stakeholders, presenting documentation and techniques to a distributed group of colleagues

- Duties are performed under minimal supervision.
- Work affords significant opportunity to act independently on assigned tasks.
- Individual will provide services across multiple departments and will be responsible for communicating and managing overall workload.

RESPONSIBILITY/OVERSIGHT – FINANCIAL & SUPERVISORY:
No direct supervision of other staff but may need to gain cooperation from individuals or groups over whom there is no direct authority in order to accomplish program goals.

- Work effectively in a team setting and deal with a wide range of people to implement projects.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to present concepts effectively with technical and non-technical staff of all backgrounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Willingness to travel and work long hours as required.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Work requires only minor physical exertion and/or physical strain.
