Want to know how to do something? ...or where to look?
Well, the best and quickest answers come from other Gather members!
Asking a question is very simple, and requires just a few clicks of the mouse.
Here's how:
1) In order to 'post' a question to this help group, you must join the group (that's just the way Gather works right now). You can join here.
2) Create a short article (under the 'Publish' menu at the top of the page), and write your question(s) in the article...any way you want. It doesn't matter how it looks, as long as another member can understand what you are asking!
3) When publishing an article, you will encounter two screens, or pages. On the first page you enter a title for the article, the text, or body, of the article, and some relevant tags. On the second page you must identify where you want the article to be published, or displayed.
- In the middle of the page you will see three options, preceded by small round buttons: 'Everyone', 'Select People and Groups', and 'Just Me'. Click on the circle to the left of 'Everyone' ....if it isn't already selected.
- Just below this area, you should see a checkbox (small square), to the left of the group 'Gather Help Forum (member to member)'. Click in this box.
4) You may then preview what your question will look like, or just go ahead and publish.
5) Your article will now appear in the group, and will be answered by another member soon.
6) Answers will appear as comments to your article. You will also receive an email notification when another member comments on your article (if you have chosen this option within your member preferences, under 'notification settings').
That's it! ...easy, painless, quick, and oh so effective!

I'm here in the Gather Help Forum, and this is the ONLY ariticle I see here. And you KNOW I've published a lot of questions! I know you see them, but I can't see them in this group.... I only see them in "My Content". Do you know what's going on?

Hmmm.... I have heard of this occurring with other members, and I believe that it is a temporary security-related issue. I would suggest signing out, and then signing in again, to see if that resolves the issue. Also, try temporarily switching browsers.

Also, I only have one article 'featured' within the Help Forum group (this article). Hence, are you only looking at the 'Featured Articles'?
That would explain why you only see one article.

I am posting this in all the 'Upgrade Articles' since I cannot PUBLISH a darn thing. Even in the Gather Help Forum which I just joined ...
so, I don't know what's up ... but when I go to publish an article and click the 'continue' button my browser crashes and ta da ... can't publish needless to say.
Any suggestion? Any fixes? I operate on an iMac ... which was hunky dorie till the new upgrades went through.

Hello! If you read the instructions above, it explains how to publish a question to the group, and the community. Your question is probably better handled this way, as it will expose your question to many more members. I don't have an answer, or information for you pertaining to ghostwriting, but I'm sure that someone in the community will.
