acrobatic sunsets
glimmer in my mind
two hearts collide
in iridescent time
was I but blind
I could see you clear
in the back of my mind
subjected to my fear
it wasn't working out
there can't be any doubt
our foolish hearts have lost again
our desire was an obsession
and now I've learned my lesson
that love can often end in pain
that was our transgression
to live in love's digression
neolithic moonbeams
dance in your eyes
but my heart's been broken
by your daunting lies
what went wrong
I tried to find in you
a sacred sort of a love song
if only that I knew
that it wasn't working out
there can't be any doubt
our foolish hearts have lost again
through argument's secession
and now I've learned my lesson
now that we've been torn in twain
I'm no longer your posession
and I'm free from love's digression
