When I'm not writing on climate and other environmental issues for The New York Times, I'm a performing songwriter, in a band called Uncle Wade.
Craig Duff, a great NYTimes video producer/shooter, has created a Times video mini-profile of America's national cemetery for Memorial Day around my song about the past & future of Arlington (my journalism and songwriting intersect for first time...).
It's up on our www.nytimes.com front page right now (scroll down to see the image of the cemetery, then click).
If the video shifts from front page, you can find by clicking on the 'videos' link at top of page.
Unusual, a bit awkward even, but hopefully it'll be perceived as what it is. A simple tribute and question. Think "CBS Sunday Morning"....
More at our band web page, www.myspace.com/unclewade , of course.
