more of a blog about my upcoming week and month than an "article"

for those of you that don't know, I'm traveling again this week, this time i'm off to New Mexico, but just for 3 days.

Yes, i'm very excited.

No i'm not scared to leave Heather alone.

(but of course i would be very happy to hear that those of you in the inner circle were constantly checking up on her at random times from thursday till saturday for seemingly no reason other than you love her...hint...hint.)

this is the last milestone job i have besides some random appointments in the studio before the due date. things are slowly winding down and the clock is ticking closer to my son's arrival. i've been planning this trip for more than a year now but honestly i will be happy when it's shot and completed and i can be home knowing all i have left to do is wait.

i've talked about closing the studio in June for a little while, but in the back of my head i've always known that was a joke. i know i can't stay away, and i've already started booking a few appointments, i cannot turn down work. it's a character flaw. i suppose in some way i've always been a little suprized that people want to work with me in the first place, never mind the fact that there has just been so damn many of you out there willing to travel to me, not to mention pay me to take pictures of you. how can i say no. just yesterday i booked a job for 4 days after the due date simply becqause the girl was willing to drive 9 hours from Boston just to do pictures. how could anyone turn that down.

so, needless to say, while i know i will be spending more time than normal at home, i will not be turning away work in June. i just don't have it in me. Heather understands, she loves me and she know i'm addicted to what i do.

anyway, i'm rambleing. if anyone in New Mexico would like to say hello in the short time i'm there, let me know and we'll see how the schedule pans out. at this point i don't think i'll have any time to book appointments more than what is already booked, but hey, you never know. i love meeting new people, and i hate free time.
