Kiss My Bass

My husband and I decided to go fishing this evening at our favorite spot on Turner Lake. I caught a few Blue Gills and with a quick swipe of his worm, Bill caught a nice Large Mouth Bass.

*What a beauty!! The people next to us gasped when Bill released it.

What a gorgeous fish! I'm so jealous! I love fishing. There's absolutely nothing that can compare with a beautiful day of fishing on a quiet lake. Great photos, too.

Oh, Mandi -- that last photo is just gorgeous!

My husband taught me how to fish when we were first dating, and the first fish I ever caught was a bass -- very tasty -- out of the Grasse River in the north country of NYS. :-) Our 'best' fishing expedition was at the St. Regis River -- 5 brown trout, cooked fresh on the riverbank that night for dinner. Ahhh! The rivers are probably too polluted to do that anymore...

Mandi!! Mandi!!! What is wrong with you.....PLEASE STOP...If you keep showing people the real reason we fish the lakes will become overcrowded and inaccessible. Nice photos, nice bass....On occasion I actually do "kiss my bass" before I release them. Just remember that the difference between a 'sportsman' and a lazy bastard is a fishing rod

Beautiful! And I applaud you for releasing. YAY! I am a self-proclaimed tree hugger, and Bill belongs to B.A.S.S. - which promotes catch and release. He caught a 10 lb 3 oz bass, brought her home in the livewell, got the pictures, and took her back to release her. :) Loved the last picture as well.

Great pics! We catch and release too. Its just fun to catch .... the only fish we eat that we catch is Flounder... otherwise we buy it.

Wonderful Mandi, but I tend to agree with Richard. A little cornmeal would pretty that bass right up.

Mandi: We have a house on a lake in Pa. and I have never seen such a bass as this one. It is awesome! The closest I can say is a catfish with lots of hairy whiskers! Thanks, Anne Grote

I spent about $250 on a new rod and reel after decades of not fishing. They've been sitting in the garage for nearly two years... I think maybe it's time to get them polished and ready for action. Great photos.
