I just got back from visiting the Old Hippies Corner and reading a few of the most fantastic stories I've read in a while. I guess the 60's and 70's just sort of passed me by in a haze of smoke so reading these stories gives me an idea of what was going on all around me. Thanks for the inspiration, Colonel Possum.
Here's a very easy Fudge recipe - I'm still looking for a good brownie one but for now, try this one!
DAN'S DECIDEDLY DELICIOUS FUDGE -
1. HEAT 1 CUP HONEY AND 1 CUP PEANUT BUTTER IN A SAUCEPAN UNTIL WELL-BLENDED
2. MIX IN 1/4 - 1/2 CUP CAROB POWDER. (AMOUNT DEPENDS ON YOUR TASTE)
3. REMOVE FROM HEAT AND STIR IN THE FOLLOWING:
A. 1 CUP BLENDER-GROUND SESAME SEEDS
B. 1 CUP BLENDER-CHOPPED SUNFLOWER SEEDS
C. 1/2 CUP OR MORE OF SHREDDED, UNSWEETENED COCONUT
D. 1/2 CUP DATES OR DRIED APPLES ALL DICED UP (OPT)
E. 1/2 CUP CHOPPED WALNUTS (OPT)
4. SPREAD INTO AN OILED 8" X 8" PAN OR SPREAD THINLY IN A 9" X 13" PAN. REFRIGERATE.
5. CUT INTO SQUARES. MAKES FROM 24 - 40 DEPENDING ON THICKNESS OF FUDGE. KEEP REFRIGERATED. THEN GOBBLE THEM UP ALL BY YOURSELF BEFORE SOMEONE COMES TO VISIT!
