Disccusing troubles when media cover climate...

Just a headsup that I'll be on the great NPR (WNYC) show "On The Media" this weekend discussing why journalism and global warming are such a bad fit. In essence, climate change is the antithesis of news as we've known it, but remains a keystone challenge for the 21st century. Media tend to ignore it or hype it so badly that they can be accused of alarmism. That is a tough situation! I suggest some solutions. -- Andy

Hi Andrew: It is a pleasure to meet you. I am a former journalist, but unlike you, I focussed primarily on local stories, from politics to personal tales. What you do sounds very interesting and most topical. I wish you continued success.
