Cheryl,
Your style of verse would work very well as song lyrics. The best song lyrics always have shorts lines. This give them the ability to match all sorts of styles of music.
If you know any musicians, you might want to try setting your verse to some music. If that sort of thing interests you, I think you'd find musicians like setting your verse to music.

Thank you, George. I wish I did know some musicians...lol. I have lots of song lyrics. I hadn't meant for this particular one to be song lyrics, but now that you mention it, I can see how it would work well.
