Oh' my God
What am I to do with coffee?
I am old but childish in mind
And still like toffee.
I am not yet grown up
Coffee tastes bitter
Enjoying my days
With toffee- taste sweeter.
Chewing coffee beans?
Drinking a cup o' coffee?
Just change the habit
To make life jiffy spiffy.
Why to add bitterness?
Life itself is very tough
Let us sweeten the same
And make brotherhood stuff (dough).
Storms may occur
By bitterly coffee taste
Rejoice with laughter
That would be best.

Hmmmm! ... you have a point! ... smiles.
This is a big problem for rhyming poems... eastern and western pronounciations are different and moreover, regional/country variations co-exist....... so It is poetically incorrect!
Anyway ... I loved writing this poem
Thanks for reading.
Best wishes
Your verse is a delight to read. Have you tried chocolate covered coffee beans?
I like toffee and I like coffee.
Life is filled with so many pleasures.
We are blessed with abundance and joy.
In India there is a toffee named 'coffee bite' ... one side toffee and the other coffee .... ummmmm!
Haha!!! ... yes ... tastes bitter-sweet!
i enjoy the thought of brotherhood dough......break bread before it's bread....
cheers

(if you don't mind my asking, i was a bit confused about the use of the word "dough" in the fourth stanza. what's it's purpose in being there? it was just that one word that threw me off...but the rest of this is so great.)
i love the style you used in writing this poem. it's very sweet and playful. thanks for posting!!
Dear Tarah,
'dough' is made after blending eg... during bread preparation. 'Brotherhood dough' means blending of people to ONE irrespective of cast, creed or, religion.
Hope, this clarifies...
