"What's in YOUR wallet?"Being the curious Cat, I wonder if any one else's wallet and purse contain the same things as mine. For that matter, I wonder just what is in mine right now. I don't use them at work, I only have two things I carry there (cell phone and dog treats) and I have pockets...... sometimes I carry the treats in my bra, though.
Usually I carry my money in my pockets when I'm out. It's been a while since I cleaned out my purse, so I thought I'd take inventory.
My wallet:
This wallet has a change purse built in, and in that section I find:
95cents change
a boxcutter
two uncashed checks
a $9.97 receipt from Rite Aid
two bank cards
a Borders rewards card
an expired frappucino coupon from Speedway (which I'm crumpling up now to discard)
a gas receipt from Speedway
A small folded paper with the name of a movie my therapist recommended (Serial Mom) and the name of a book I want to read (Room for Jay..... a family struggles with schizophrenia). The author was interviewed on the radio while I was driving.
3 WCRS business cards (the radio station for the blind where I read on Sunday mornings)
My driver's license
and
a Blockbuster Rewards Gold card.
Keep in mind, that's all in the change section!
The inside of my wallet contains:
my check ledger
my organ donor card
my social security card
Norman and Sons Body Shop card (best body shop)
my doctor's office card
Ace hardware card
DemocracyMeansYou.com card
Arbor Day Foundation card
a nurse's card from the Summit County combined General Health district
CVS pharmacy card
Planned Paretnhood membership card
Unizan Bank business card..... Hmmm. this bank is now Huntington. Better see if my little bit of Christmas cash is still there.
YMCA business card
an obsolete business card from my friend Cosmic Charlie (back in the day when he was still healthy and able to work as stage technician and DJ)
Darren Bu Ca´re (spiritual advisor) business card
WKSU business card
Waikem motors (where I got my little used baby car) business card
The card from my old greenhouse so I can readily get the info for resumes
medical card that is out dated
insurance card (auto)
Professor doing research on Children's Services business card from the U of A
YMCA membership card I was supposed to turn in when I quit
Giant Eagle discount card
two attorney cards (from when my son was in trouble. You never know when I may need these again)
Two phone numbers.
my Clergy credentials
and
an OHIO UFO drivers's license
Now, the rest of my purse:
WAY too many business cards to list here....
an unopened pack of Camel Turkish Silver
American Spirit rolling papers
my mini phone/address book (it's shiny and it makes a cool sound when I run my nails over it)
2 lighters
nag chompa oil
seven pens
pics of the grandkids
prescription bottle of ativan
lipstick
lipgloss
paper clips
Tums
my inhaler in my cool asthma tote case. (go to asthmatote.com)
a tiny note book
an invitation to my niece's baby shower (June 4)
2 pay stubs
a program folder from the mother daughter banquet last Friday at my mother in law's church
a napkin from the same banquet
my Cat in The Hat checkbook
my reading glasses in the cool kitty case
about $2.00 in loose change
wetnaps

No doubt it's time to clean out purse and wallet...... before I have enough in there to win something on Let's Make A Deal!
I wonder, Gather folks,
What's in YOUR wallet? (or purse?)

Dolphi, you are right. It was a bit painful, but I choose to laugh about it.
Jim, no money? You are in the club with WM H and me! What do you mean, towed 100 miles AGAIN!!??
An open package of cinnamon gummy bears, 6 or so opened packages of gum...I had a Shout stain remover packet that had been in there for a year, but I offered it to a friend who needed one and we found it had dried out. I don't clean my purse very often!
My car started, I was driving maybe 10 minutes when my car died again.
Someone else came the second time. I think if the first guy came by, I would have asked if I could ride in my car. He was that unpleasant. I don't know if it is still an option with AAA Gold, but at that time, they would ow you up to 100 miles.
Second Tow Truck driver: Is tha in the 100 mile radius?

Jim, GREAT story. Especially Wonder Woman.
Angela, it's 3 and a half" X almost 7" and 2" thick. But I included what was in my purse, Honey! It's 7 and a half" by11" and 3and a half " thick.
Eric L, well, they are dog treats. He He!
Some list! Starwood card? Do you mean the place I'm thinking? And a mystery woman, eh? Are you going to call her? I like the "secret photo" thing, too.
Your article is real funny. It reminds me of a Seinfeld episode about over stuffed wallets.
Screwdriver, fence staples, folding hoofpick, a metal mane and tail comb, vise grips (smallish pair), a "bull clip" (I don't know what else it might be called - an all purpose clip one thing to another thing clip - LOL), a bit of change, a couple bucks, a couple bits of carrot (horse treats), a drivers license and my car key. For some reason, the folding hoofpick totally flamboozled her.
About three years into my first marriage I cleaned out my purse one day. I always had some huge purse, caught it from my mother who always had a huge purse. I used to be able to get a six pack of Little Kings in my freaking purse (to sneak into a concert with them). So anyway - I handed all the stuff that belonged to my kid back to her, all the stuff that belonged to the husband back to him, and was left with a set of keys, a drivers license and two bucks.
I bought a tri-fold man's wallet and never looked back. Still carry one today. And it has:
Drivers License
Library Card
Debit card
Another debit card (different account)
A slip of paper with title of a book I want to find
ATM reciept
Grocery reciept
Sams club card
Driver's License
5 business cards (Dr., Dentist, Mechanic, Chiropractor, Vet)
Double Shot Coffee Club card (punched for 3 cups, four more to go for a freebie)
Two more recipts too worn to read and
HEY - a uncashed check for five bucks! Cool!
Does the bicycle chain attached to the wallet at one end, and two clips at the other count? One clip has my keys, the other is to clip onto a belt loop.
LOL - a fun article!
And Summer, what a fun story. Thanks for sharing yours.
