Last year we sold our Minnesota lake home & moved to a lake in Texas. We weren't sure if Texas was the right choice for us, so we moved back to Texas...I know a lot of moving, but I'm not done yet!
Hubby & I both got our jobs back in Minnesota. The the worst happened, hubby lost both of his "great" job. The we decided that we were ready to give Texas a better, longer chance. Moving from one small town in Minnesota, to another small town in Texas, near Tyler.
So my husband went to Texas in March...and I'm still here in Minnesota(not on the lake). We still have our house in Texas, that is on the lake.
Now that spring is here I am missing the water a lot! I want to go out fishing in the evening, and catch more bass than my husband! I want to sit outside & drink a cup of hot coffee, watching the water, letting it calm me and soothe me.
My husband has been fishing a lot (that bugger) and catching a few fish. Some bass, some catfish (us Minnesotans, I'm still one, call them bullheads!) trying in vain to catch a big gar fish. I'm jealous. I want to be fishing. I want to go out on our pontoon, sunning on the deck, relaxing.
My time is coming, less than a month now & I'll be on my way down there. I know that 1st night, I'll be down at the dock fishing! The moving truck will be a couple of days behind me, so I won't be occupied with unpacking, just relaxing, catching some fish. Showing my step-son how its done in Texas!
Oh, if you know the trick to catching a gar...let me know, then I can surprise him & get one before he does!
Happy Fishing!
