25 Interesting Things About Me

OK, I guess I will join this foray of "interesting things about me." I think it's a great way to get to know each other on Gather.

1. I married a wonderful gentleman and I love my husband;
2. I came to this country as a Chinese student hardly speaking fluent English;
3. I succeeded in Silicon Valley with originally no tech background;
4. I am very focused and entrepreneurial;
5. I am optimistic and see glass half-full;
6. I am from a not very happy family, which made me determine to make my own family happy and I did;
7. I was very shy and finally got over it!
8. I practiced calligraphy EVERY DAY from 5 years old till college;
9. I was trained in both traditional Chinese and western painting, but never became an artist;
10. My childhood dream was to get into Harvard and work at UN or international organizations – both of them didn't come true :-)
11. I also dreamed to become a poetess;
12. I learned to play Guitar once;
13. I loved and still love to dance;
14. I am romantic;
15. I am still idealistic and will probably never get over it;
16. I traveled to European continent (eight countries) by myself alone!
17. I was fascinated to date Greek and Italian guys who are very opposite to my own culture;
18. I want to stay forever young and refuse to accept the law of nature!
19. I love to decorate my home and am good at it;
20. I wish I could play piano like a pro;
21. I feel a foreigner among Americans, and also a foreigner among Chinese;
22. I am privileged and enriched to live in both cultures;
23. If I have extra hours in a day, I would like to spend on meditation;
24. I am passionate about life and want to make it beautiful;
25. I believe my splash is still ahead!
