Ode to Gatherholics

If I gather together

with others who gather

does that mean I'm a

Gatherholic?

If I struggle to finish

other things in my day;

If I forget to work

and forget to play,

does that mean I'm a

Gatherholic?

If I wake up sleepy

and go to to bed late,

reading and writing

my very fate,

does that mean I'm a

Gatherholic?

If system maintenance

makes me feel sad,

And no comments on my writing

makes me feel bad,

does that mean I'm a

Gatherholic?

Well, let me introduce myself;

I'm a Gatherholic, no doubt;

Let's tell our stories;

It only seems right;

Hurry up,

go home and write

on Gather.

I second that t-shirt idea. We can have a Gather convention and everyone can show up wearing their Gather t-shirts!

Boy, can I identify with this one. My internet was down last nite, and I was frantic. No Gather ALL NITE LONG! So this morning I came in to 101 Gather messages, and I'm never gonna get thru them.
But hey, it's Friday.......

Nancy, when you say you "came in" to 101 messages, I hope that is not referring to "gathering" while you are working! That would be a very bad gatherholic. Or very good.

Cheryl . . . Well done, friend. I must admit, I spend a lot of time online writing and mailing students, friends, family and researching for journal articles I write. My wife and son come into the study a lot, as it has no door on it. They know I love to write, research, and send out book proposals. I often share my writings with them, and torture them with an oral reading. LOL

Now, since you introduced me to Gather, I find myself writing even more. I am thankful.

I want a t-shirt too! lol...I've been in the throws of withdrawl the past couple weeks that I've been away from Gather, but I'm back and will be going strong soon....Thanks for the humor Cheryl, I neede this one...Smiles my friend....
