To My Mother
God couldn't be everywhere, and so he created mothers. Anonymous.
A red headed little girl were you
Special to this world
You had to have that special cow's milk
Hair with bouncing curls
Rubbing your hand over the newspaper
So your granddaddy would talk to you
He wouldn't eat your mud pie
You threw a fit until you turned blue
You grew into a beautiful woman
Then you met my handsome dad
You gave me two wonderful brothers
They're very good looking lads
Your love radiates like the sun's rays
Your love grows blossoms in life's garden
Your loving heart brightens the world
Your heart is tender and could never harden
You mend the things that fall apart
The world is more beautiful because of you
I count my blessing each day
To know I have a best friend so true
Mother, you bring joy to us all
You taught us empathy, mercy, and trust
You showered us with friendship, love, and showed us faith
So now I really must
Say Happy Mother's Day
To a fascinating and amazing you
You will always be held close in my heart
Forever and eternity through

Really nice poem!
Cathy, thank you for your kind words.
Stephen, thank you. I've put her through hell. I wanted to do something special this year. I really can't draw good. I slaved a long time on this drawing. Thanks again.
Thank you for sharing.
