Anybody watching/listening to/surfing the NFL Draft?

    Bills just picked.  Are they high?  Amazing that they did not trade down.  The guy they picked would have been around for at least 10 more picks.

Other than that, no huge surprises so far.

Lions take Ernie Sims at number  #9 overall.

Leinart is still on the Board.  Amazing.  His decision to not go pro last year has so far cost him about $10million.

Leinart goes at #10 to the Cardinals. A Steal for the cardinals. No way Denny Green was gonna let that one get past him.

Hi Jake, I agree this is a steal for the cardinals. I don't keep on the American sports my friend. I actually don't watch alot of
t.v. but you are great fun to interact with. I don't mind learnig either. Thanks and take care my comical friend.

As a Cardinals fan, I think we are doing good so far. Maybe some day we can have a winning season........

I'm not a huge Denny Green fan but I know him fairly well from his days in Minnesota. One thing he's good at is identifying value in the draft.

Leinart is a huge score for the Cards. Kurt Warner is a shell of the Kurt Warner from '99, and the Josh McKnown project didn't really work out very well. Overall, the Cards had a pretty decent draft, and with the addition of Edgerrin James to FINALLY give them a rusher, I think you'll get your winning season this year.

I'm kinda psyhed about the Cards. I have relatives in Sun City, AZ and drove by the new stadium. It looks like a freakin' space ship. I think I'm gonna try to take in a game there next season. Maybe that's proof the Edgerrin puts butts in seats, although I'm probably going more just to check out the new stadium.

I had season tickets for the Cards for years, but had to turn in my "die-hard" fan pin a couple of years ago. Sitting on the "sun-side" of the stadium at ASU in 110 degrees got to be a bit much. Your beer would be warm before it was half gone, it smelled like a locker room, and the aluminum bench seats didn't help. All to watch them blow one game after another. I couldn't cope anymore...
Maybe with the new stadium and fresh blood, I can enjoy a game again. Go Cardinals!

Maybe we should adopt the Cardinals for our little NFL Group. They need some love. Of course, I'm always a Vikes fan first and foremost.

I grew up in So. California and was a Ram fan though and through. I loved the Roman Gabriel days, Jack Snow, the Fearsome Foursome, and years like 13-1, 12-2. Only to see them give it away to the Vikings in the playoffs. Then the Cowboys or San Francisco. For the Vikings, I remember Alan Page, Purple People Eaters, etc. What was the name of that quarterback that hurdled over linemen, #11, I think his name started with a "C" ?
Anyway, The Rams moved away, I moved away, and now I watch the home team Cards. I think many of their problems have had more to do with money than anything. I think they are the last of the family owned teams, and have trouble competing with the big money guys.
I've always had a thing for the "bad boy" Raiders and the "just win baby" Al Davis though. Kenny Stabler (The snake) was a hero of mine...

I remember all those playoff games, too. I used to go to Vikings games with my Mom & Dad in the old Met Stadium. That's where the Vikes earned their NFL stripes. You can probably still see those images in your mind of the steam rolling off their sweaty heads when the temperature was 20 below zero.

Unfortunately, Al Davis appears to now be truly insane. I have mixed feelings about the Raiders. Some of their fans are real cool and just total die hards. but others are true gangsters. I went to a game at the Coliseum when they were in L.A. and it was truly scary.

The Raiders sure did collect a gang member following when in LA. I bet they sold more Navy watch-cap type hats than anybody else.
