Monica, I think that the bulletin board idea is a good one...but, I believe it would be much more effective if it was limited to group announcements only. When you start adding other personal announcements, the group will accumulate a mass of articles, and the effectiveness for group management will be greatly diminished.

Another great idea Monica!!! Good Lord. I think you have found a totally new vocation on Gather ... idea generator!! Wouldn't boards of directors love to have you on board (pun intneded.)

I'd like to publish my tour schedule here. And as Heather said ... I'm going to be gone so don't think I'm ignoring you all.

Great idea! This is a group that has been badly needed on Gather. I have published an article letting people know that they can submit recipe requests to be featured in my Ky. Cooking column. Thanks for a place to post such articles.

Kevin - I don't want this to be just a place for group leaders - it is a bulletin board for all Gather members. If peole abuse it and post articles that are not bulletin board type messages, then those people can be spoken to to let them know what this is for - but I want this open to anyone who has an announcement, challenge, game idea, or whatnot. Only the initial posts should go here - not the repsonses to the games or challenges. If there is no group for the game or challenge - I say you ought to create one (doesn't hurt anything) and even if you don't - just tell people to tag it a certain way so everyone can find it. I will do minor moderation, but only if someone is clearly misunderstanding the groups goals. If anyone feels an article should not be in the group, feel free to let me know!
