He ambled about, almost peripatetic
Aimless to me , to him, rather prophetic.
He had walked these same miles for days upon end
Sign in hand, "End is Near" , his message did rend
Ranting and raving, politics in full view
Ugly scenarios, his mouth it did spew
Schizophrenic? Bipolar? My mind it did wonder
Or some sort of drug whose affect he is under?
I may never know what had driven him ceaselessly
They took him away in an ambulance yesterday
His sign, it lay dormant, on the sidewalk it rested
A momento of politics too far invested
