So many friends

enrich my days

with the treasure

of their smiles

and a king

am I

Yet no lady

in the nights

has this king

to softly hold

all alone the

beggar man

Well, you've caught up with it now, Faith. My friend, I wrote this poem some 20 years ago, just after the X and I went our separate ways. When I first started off on Gather, I published poems I wrote long ago...and then I threw away the poet's pen for long years.
