My West African Documentary

I wrote my script one of many actually about my time living in West Africa. While living there I shot over 25 hours of material most featurng my travel's with a young boy and his parents.

It afforded me a look at people and places that unless you have this inside connection is lost to even the most seasoned traveler.

I went there on five different occasions and spent well over two years producing there.

I spent hundreds of hours working and reworking my material, but maybe I am just to close to the subject.

It has never been completed to my satisfaction.

What I mean about that it has never been polished and put out to market.

It saddens me, because I really captured some magical material and yet I realize the transiency in life and that everything always seems to have an element of the luck of the draw.

I've produced thousands of tapes in my life, but it is like grain's of sand passing through my fingers and I realize what makes it to completion either does or it doesn't.
