I am sorry if I am boring you guys with my kitchen renovation, but I don't have many people here to share it with! Besides I am so proud of myself! My husband helps, but he really doesn't like change and if something goes wrong (and it will go wrong) he gets upset. SO, I do most of the work, and just yell for some muscle every now and then.

 

I have learned so much in the past month... I am really amazed at how much. I am going to write an article soon with plenty of advice about home improvement. Especially improvement that includes electricity and plumbing TOGETHER!

*New cabinets I got at HOBO.

*$30 cast iron sink I got at ReStore. Grey, crackel type finish counter tops that I got from HOBO for $35 !! Sink base was $139. Am I good or what??

 

We decided(I decided) against refinishing the floors. With my health and my daughter still fighting bronchitis I thought it best not to spend a week sanding floors. So tough vinyl it will be.

Mandi, I enjoy your enthusiasm. Keep in mind some safety thoughts. Whenever there is electric near water be careful. Always put a ground fault circuit interupter as an outlet. This will interupt the circuit in a partial second if their is a short of sometype. Keep up the good work.

Counter top is a little short, maybe should have gone with granite. You know counter tops are very important and "should not be taken for granite."

Love those bargains! I know exactly what you're going through. Been there several times. Even now, this house is not finished. Someday, or maybe not!
silly david... I haven't cut the other one yet ;-) I am waiting for my neighbor to get home from vacation so I can use his table saw!
