My Wish for You

May God smile on you

as gently as the morning dew

When storms brew

to come with hours long and dark

to stamp misery as their mark

And you the captain of aimless ship

caught in the grip of boiling rip

He as navigator will take the part

and through the raging waters safe passage chart

Yet when the sun again shines bright

remember the One who gave the light

and you the sight.

May God with you dwell

and safeguard you and keep you well

then you can with confidence sleep

and fear forsake

For God is awake

and watch shall keep

even over the denizens of the deep.

May God walk with you all your days

let there be no parting of the ways.
