After reading Chris Clutter's article asking "why can't we open a gather branch in Baghdad?" I went to search for how many international folks we have on gather today.
And to search for folks there's no way to find out what country they are in. And looking at my settings, no way to be outside America, no way to list such an address. Not even Canadian provinces!

Jim Bostick - Gather User Experience Architect
I mean, look at Hannah! She's...nowhere. You look at her "About" information, and she's off the map. Should folks not use gather if they're not in US borders? What if one of our troops in Iraq wanted to post -- would he post from his state-side base?
It just seems there has to be a way to do this so it might not be fair (like with the gather points) but at least it would be inclusive.
*heh* Did I just say that? :)
Like, wouldn't you want to know how many folks are on here who are posted in Iraq? That would be interesting to me.
Glad to hear of the plans, Jim.
