Summer Falling
If I were a king
and my realm
was far-flung
east and west of the sun
sweeping countless leagues
from snowy mountain
to the endless sea
and glistening with
rivers of gold
and deep forests of silver tree
Then thou wouldst My Lady be
and this I'd say to thee:
Thou art the fairest treasure
in all the land
and I give thee
dominion over river and pine
for thou art the rainbow glowing
and sunbeam gleaming
Nay
My Lady
thou art the summer falling

See my reply to your other comment. Are you implying that poetry is unwelcome or banned from this group? If so, say so! One of us hasn't read the group blurb or misunderstands it. Based on other comments from group members, it's not me.

Thank your for this comment as well. Based on what you've said and the comments by other readers-writers, I'll continue writing poetry and posting it to this group.
On reflection, I think perhaps Carl is a tad confused - perhaps equating fiction with being prose. I hope that's all it is.
