This is a nod to Tony's butterfly. thanks for the inspiration. This was at Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

What swell of heart occurs upon this vision

How our eyes are gorged with beauty of color

The delicate intricacy of shading on petal

Fragrance overpowers the surrounding air

Breathless and beautiful beyond word

Almost a prayer

just lovely, carol. i can't decide which one i like the best! thank you for sharing. isn't it crazy how 2 people can get such different pictures? i hardly got any photos of flowers, that day. you have such great ones!

Beautiful things.

Several years ago I saw an orchid exhibit at the Smithsonian that was absolutely incredible. If I remember correctly it was an annual event.

Very nice Carol. I used to pick flowers from our timber land in Colorado. Now that we've let cattle graze in there, many of them are gone. Some were so beautiful, and were probably orchids of some kind - not tropical beauties like these - but still very nice to look at.
