I'm pretty sure the whole South Dakota ban is just trying to get Roe v. Wade reviewed in the Supreme Court; simple grandstanding really.

I think anyone who wants an end to the abortion debate must realize it first need to continue, and that's not going to happen until the Supreme Court fiat on the matter is ended.

How many people have read Roe v. Wade? Anyone know what Constitution it was based on?

To answer Frank, the court at the time of the Roe v Wade ruling decided the laws outlawing abortion were infringments on the women's ninth and fourteenth amendment rights, so I suppose you could say, Frank, it was based on OUR constitution with the Bill of Rights.

A woman's right to privacy is the fundamental holding of Roe, Frank. And what's even more important than Roe, is Planned Parenthood v. Casey. There the Court had a chance to over turn Roe, and albeit they cut into it a bit, still decided that a woman's right to privacy unquestionably included the right for her to choose. Even our new conservative Chief Justice Roberst said that Roe is a "superprecedent". We know what we're talking about... So, please keep the condesending comments to yourself.
