Volume 2: Rural Ohio In Pictures
George Corneliussen
Between 1995 and 2001, I took many pictures on the Sunday rides my wife and took (and still take) in rural Ohio. All these images were taken within a hundered mile radius of Cincinnati. They are all 35mm, the film speeds vary. All pictures are copyrighted.

Rural Ohio is loaded with bridges that are no longer in use, but remain because the locals love them so much.

Thanks, there are plenty a good folks out here in this neck of the woods.
On a drive through Indiana once, we came across a guy whose son had grafted dozens of different varieties of apple tree branches onto the apple trees on his farm. He sold all the different varieties from folding tables set uo on his driveway. He also threw his own pottery, and sold that from a shop he had set up in his basement. It was a great experience.
That means it must be a nice place.
Thank you, With spring coming, I'm really motivated to dig these pictures out.
I'm a rural Pa. boy myself. Pennsylvania has a heapin' helpin' of these kind of scenes for sure.
Thanks! Glad I could share them.
I'm with you on the Interstates, as far as how they relate to rides in the country. Nothing kills the joy of a ride in the country quicker than having to ride on the Interstate during any part of it.
Not far from where we live, there's a farm-type house we have nicknamed "the house of many porches". It was a wraparound porch around the entire first floor, and three different porches off rooms on the second floor. The house is painted white and is extremely relaxing to look at.
Just think of a zombie wearing bib-overalls.
Thanks
That's cold.
I'll post some more covered bridges and barns next time.
Within twenty miles of almost any city in Ohio there is beautiful country to be seen.
I'll have to do some thinkin' on that. That picture is about five years old. It's definitely within an hour or so from Cincinnati. I'll see if between my wife and I we can pinpoint the location.
Note to Richard: Southern Ohio is Red, whilst Northeast Ohio is Blue all the way! Some are suggesting breaking off and making our own state!
My excuse is the 70's..whats yours..lol
Thanks, publishing them is much fun.
I'm sorry, what were you saying ?
Thanks again !
Did you try hitting refresh on your browser ? Other than that I don't know what the problem might be.

In my mind the colors are real. I hope that's a positive.
