You ready for great battle
Our contract signed for peace

You piously eat vegetables
They're fried in chicken grease

Your hair is full and piled up
Upon your empty head

The audience is dead

Lovely lilting lyrical language, acerbic antinomies, just a great Dorothy Parker style poem with a voice for all of us that deserves its honor as Editor's Pick and much more. The last line is perhaps the best clincher line I've read on Gather.com
