It was a cold night marked with an icy wind forcing her to wrap her coat tightly around herself and tuck her gloveless hands under her arms. She took slow, deliberate steps prolonging her short walk home through the dark alleys. Her boots made a steady click clack sound on the hard pavement reminding her how alone she was out here. She turned her head slightly to look over her left shoulder, sure someone was following her, but she didn't pick up her pace. She's rather stay and face whatever hid in the shadows out here than confront what she knew waited for her at home. She didn't stop though. She knew she couldn't escape it. Her "punishment". Her sentence for all eternity. Being late would only make things worse but she couldn't bring herself to pick up the pace.
Slowly she rounded the corner that brought her to the front of her dimly lit apartment building. She sighed and took the 3 small steps leading inside. Pulling open the grungy front door open she stepped into the tiny hallway. The elevator had an out of service sign up as usual. She took the stairs to the third floor and walked carefully towards the white, chipped door that belonged to her apartment. She stopped and stared at it for a minute, realizing that there was nothing else to do she reluctantly stuck her key in the lock and turned it.
As soon as the door was open she reached inside to flip the light on before entering. Nothing happened. The darkness mixed with deafening silence engulfed her. She waited and then it came. That soft feral growl she so dreaded. Oh God, he was angry. She shouldn't have taken so long getting home. It was bad enough when he was pleased but when he was angry… She peered in through the darkness and a flicker of motion caught her eye. She let out a soft gasp as she glimpsed the glint of his claws. They looked extra sharp today. Her eyes filled with tears and she trembled with fear as she stepped into her private dungeon to face this night's revenge.

Monica, I honestly don't know where this was going but when I figure it out I will definitely finish the story. :P
Nice work Jihaan.
When I met you last night I could tell that you have a strong sense of imagination.
I wasn't wrong. Keep going!
