Poem - "The Day is Gone"

As the darkness envelopes my side of the world
And as the sun sets
I wonder where the day has gone

I thought that the sun would always be there
Lighting my way
But I feel it slipping, fading away

It's getting darker, colder
It's light now shines on another part of the world
The day is gone.
