Leafs Getting To Crunch Time

This is it for the Leafs, we're in the final week before the trading deadline before we decided what our future is. The trading deadline is March 9th and I think this year we have to be sellers. In the new NHL with the salary cap the brains (and I use that term loosely) cannot just go out and outspend everyone we have to be smart. From everything I've read and heard on the radio it seems like we're gonna loose McCabe to free agency, I'm glad we signed Kaberle and wish we could sign McCabe as well but I'm not holding my breath. I'd rather we trade McCabe and get some kids or picks in return. I'm tired of sneaking into the 7th or 8th spot and get trashed in the first round. Let's just blow up the team, our warriors are just getting old and while I applaud Pat Quinn for finally playing some kids, I also know a lot of it was because of circumstances. With injuries on D a bunch of kids like Colaiacovo and Kronwall got a chance to play and I think we need to build on that. Them and Steen and Wellwood for better or worse are our future. Captain Mats has a couple of years left. he's seriously on the decline now, but I don't see him getting better. So please Leafs management take the hard road and blow up the team and rebuild it. As a fan for the past 30 years I'm ok with this really! We need to change with the new NHL economy we have to build a solid core from within and then tack on some key free agent signing, the days of building our own aged all-star team are over!
