Common misconception: Science and creativity are mutually exclusive. However, most important discoveries and leaps forward in technology, medicine, and science may never have happened unless someone first imagined a possibility, and only then set out to prove or create the reality. The same could be said for business. What if no one ever imagined the potential or asked the questions that have shaped the way we work? Questons like:
- What if we made laws to protect workers from abusive employers?
- What if we trusted our employees to think for themselves?
- What if we allowed people to work from home?
- Can the average person benefit from the use of a personal computer?
Never stop imagining the possibilities. Never stop asking the questions that need to be asked. And never listen to someone who tells you it can't be done.
