"Hrumph, you probably had to get married" grumbled the judge as she sifted through the case file on her bench. "Oh, I see you didn't. Regardless, the court finds......"I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This was a judge, supposed to be impartial and hold her opinions until after all the facts were brought before her. Not a good sign. No, not good at all.
"..... the children are to be returned to the address on the filing papers." She bangs the gavel and walks out.

Tepid judgement re-arranging the relationship between mother and babes forever.

Wonderful work Cathy.
Judges are appointed by the politicians we elect. If you don't like the judges, take a look at the politicians. The current state of our Supreme Court is just the most obvious example of what i am talking about here. What goes around comes around as my dead husband used to say.
I appreciate all your comments.
Cynthia, this was a true snippet from my life and was an awakening for me. I'd always assumed the truth would prevail in an unbiased court of law. I appreciate your connecting the judiciary with the politicians.
Peace to all.
