I clicked on it, found that the site allows you to enter any address in the US, and it gives you the location of any registered sex offenders in your neighborhood.  The results for my neighborhood were alarming!  I had no idea...

The site also offers ways to protect your children.

I have been to this site before... every parent should know where there a sex offenders... what a messed up world we live in, that they can roam free.

What's even more alarming is that most children are sexually abused by someone in the family, or a close friend of the family. It's a good idea to know who is living in the community, but keep in mind those who are registered have done their time and are now abiding by the rules, so most likely are not the biggest threat around.
