We landed in Buenos Aires at 9AM local time, which is two hours ahead of Boston. The warm air and sunshine provided the quick energy boost needed to pick up our luggage and pass through customs. We are staying at separate hotels so we left each other for a few hours to check in and get ready for a busy afternoon.
Fortunately, Frank was in Buenos Aires last year so he played the role of tour guide. We met at the Recoleta Cemetery and began our four
hour walk by visiting the grave of Eva and Juan Peron.

From there we walked along a very long park - saw the Floralis Genericia Monument. This is a very large metallic flower. At night the flower buds close and the inside of the flower is basked in red lights. After a couple of hours, we had a leisurely lunch at some fashionable outdoor cafe. The food was good and gave us a chance to rest our legs a bit. With the temperature around 90 degrees, it was a nice break.

After lunch we continued our journey into the part of town known as Palermo. Buenos Aires is a beautiful city. In many ways, it reminds me of Barcelona. The streets are wide, the architecure is very european. The people seem focused, energetic and friendly.
In the evening, we went for drinks at Lomo a restaurant with a great rooftop deck. Our dinner reservations were at 11:15 (people eat late here) so we took a taxi over to a different restaurant for an amazing Argentinan traditional dinner.

If you've seen the movie (and I'm sure you boys could perform it, line-by-line...material for the next piano/singing/party?) it's also the actual balcony that Madonna sang "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" from for the historic masses of production assistants, grips, and gaffers.
