A little gift "just because"
An overlooking of flaws
A loan not expected to be repaid
A loving gift that is handmade
A well-timed and encouraging cheer
An "I'll do the dishes tonight, dear!"
An open mind to a difficult issue
Being ready with a tissue
A dinner bill not split, but paid
Your house once-overed by a maid
Open ears and closed lips
Not nagging about the whole bag of chips
A refill of your favorite drink
Remembering not to leave toothpaste in the sink
Laughing with instead of at
Having patience with the cat
A backrub that leads to sleep
A soft shoulder to go to weep
Loving arms that hold tight
Cuddling together all night
Suddenly a realization rings
Love: It's in the little things
